I actually tried them about a year ago and they work pretty well with the Crafty. At first I wasn't sure if they were worth it but they definitely make concentrates easier to handle. The pads distribute the heat evenly and prevent any mess in the chamber. I found that smaller amounts work better than packing them full. Temperature control is important too - start low and increase gradually. They do get worn out after regular use so having replacements is smart.
