How to Set Up a Display or Shelf for a Katana Collection: Ideas and Tips

Hey guys, I’ve started building a small collection of mini katanas, and now I’m trying to figure out how to display them properly. Right now they’re just lined up on a shelf, but it feels kind of plain. I’d love to make it look more like a proper showcase — maybe with stands, lighting, or background decor. How do you all set up your displays to make them look unique?

I went through the same phase not too long ago! I found that having stands at different heights makes the setup look more dynamic. I also use small LED spotlights to give each blade its own glow. The mini katanas I got from hand-forged katana look especially nice under warm lighting — the metal details really pop. Mixing in a few plants or scrolls can also give it a Japanese touch without being too much.
