How digital forensics helps in the fight against online blackmail.
Guys, has anyone experienced internet blackmail? I recently had an unpleasant incident: someone hacked into my old social media account and threatened to send out personal photos that I uploaded there a few years ago. I managed to contact the support service, the account was frozen, but I'm still worried that I might have saved the data. I've heard that digital forensics specialists help in these situations. Does anyone know how it works in practice?

Interesting topic. In general, I try to minimize risks in advance: I use complex passwords, two-factor authentication, and don't keep anything important in one place. Blackmail on the Internet is a serious problem, and I'm glad that there are now more and more resources and specialists who help people deal with it. In any case, prevention is always better than dealing with the consequences.
