the random order is what makes the native app almost useless for this, not the lack of public data. i’d definately treat any “recently followed” result as a lead rather than proof, because instagram can still cache or reorder things oddly across devices. if a scanner is surrounded by unrelated casino-game app lists such as https://dream-catcher-game.com/apps/, https://monopolytapcards.com/apps/, that is also a good reason to slow down and check whether it is actually showing timestamps or just reshuffling the same public list. for partnership research, i’d still cross-check anything important before assuming a new follow means an upcoming collab.
