PoE extenders from EnableIT
Hello, forum! I have a problem: I recently purchased several PoE extenders from EnableIT to expand the network in the office, but I started to wonder how effective and safe they really are for the equipment. First of all, how stable are they in supporting data transmission over long distances? The documentation states that they can provide power and data up to 100 meters, but how does this work in practice? Has anyone already used them to work with CCTV cameras or other devices? Should I expect any problems when connecting, or will everything be stable? I would be glad to hear opinions and experience using these extenders.

Interesting topic! I agree that when using PoE extenders, it is important to consider several factors. Personally, I have also tried extenders from EnableIT to connect various devices and, as a rule, there were no problems with data transmission. However, at long distances, as has already been noted, there are small speed losses, especially if few consumers with low power consumption are connected. Therefore, if you need to make a long range or in the case of complex network configurations, I would also advise thinking about repeaters.
