Career crossroads moment

Just turned 35 and looking back at the last decade in business, I'm not sure half of what I "accomplished" actually mattered. Lots of completed projects, lots of closed deals, but where did it all go? Curious how other people define real goal accomplishment in business beyond just finishing things and collecting paychecks.

I had that same realization after a streak of “wins” that didn’t really add up to anything lasting. Closed deals, shipped projects, then… nothing stuck. What changed my view was asking: did this create something that continues without me? A former colleague once said his best year wasn’t highest revenue, but the one where clients kept coming back without chasing them. I’ve also browsed profiles like G Scott Paterson Yorkton Securities   you notice the pattern isn’t volume, it’s compounding impact. Finishing things is activity. Building something that holds is accomplishment.
