Caitlin Clark’s First Nike Signature Shoe Is Here. Here’s Where to Buy the Caitlin 1
After more than two years of anticipation, Caitlin Clark’s first signature basketball shoe has officially arrived, giving Nike a new centerpiece for one of the fastest-growing athlete brands in sports.

Caitlin Clark has spent much of her professional career wearing player-exclusive sneakers that fans could admire but not actually buy. That changed on October 1, when Nike released the Caitlin 1, the Indiana Fever star’s first signature basketball shoe, to the public.
The debut represents another major step in Clark’s relationship with Nike and gives the company something it has been building toward since signing her to a new endorsement deal before her WNBA rookie season. The original Yahoo Sports report on the Caitlin 1 release and purchasing options details the launch and the first colorways available to buyers.
The initial release includes two versions, “Caitlin Blue” and the bright yellow-and-blue “Warning Code.” Nike lists the adult Caitlin 1 at $140, with children’s versions also being released at lower price points.
The shoe is available through Nike and participating retailers, although inventory can vary quickly by size and colorway. Foot Locker lists both launch versions at $140, while Dick’s Sporting Goods has also offered the Caitlin 1 through its sneaker release program.
Nike Built the Shoe Around Clark’s Actual Game
Signature shoes work best when they feel connected to the athlete rather than simply having a famous name stamped on an existing sneaker. Nike says Clark participated directly in developing the Caitlin 1, with the design intended to reflect the pace, shooting range and sudden changes of direction that define her game. The shoe uses Nike’s new Opticast upper to provide lightweight support, while an Air Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot works with Cushlon foam to provide cushioning and responsiveness.
The personal touches are considerably easier to spot. The shoe incorporates Clark’s double-Swoosh logo, C’s and 2’s molded into portions of the upper, her signature near the heel and additional references to her famously deep shooting range.
Nike’s “Caitlin Blue” version even includes the phrase “It was never a long shot,” along with “Shoot more threes” and “From anywhere” on the two shoes.
Those details help transform the Caitlin 1 from another performance basketball shoe into an extension of Clark’s increasingly valuable personal brand.
Where You Can Buy the Caitlin 1
For shoppers, Nike’s Caitlin Clark basketball shoe collection is the most direct place to check current availability. Nike currently lists the Caitlin 1 at $140 and is using its online store and SNKRS platform for releases. Foot Locker is also carrying both launch colorways, and Dick’s Sporting Goods included the shoes in its October 1 release calendar.
Buyers who miss the first drop should not assume they have missed the shoe entirely. Nike has already announced a larger collection of Caitlin 1 colorways that will arrive over the coming months. “Midnight Fever” is scheduled for October 14, followed by “Cave Stone” on November 3, “Ice Cold” on December 1 and “Purple Venom” on December 12. Nike says the broader Caitlin 1 collection will ultimately include six initial colorways as well as apparel tied to Clark’s signature line.
Caitlin Clark Is Becoming a Retail Brand
The larger story is not really about whether a particular blue sneaker sells out. Nike is constructing an athlete brand around Clark that extends beyond the basketball court. The Caitlin 1 launch includes jackets, hoodies, T-shirts and performance apparel, giving Nike the ability to sell Clark’s identity across an entire collection rather than through footwear alone.
Clark also enters a historically small group of women’s basketball players with signature footwear. Nike currently has signature lines connected to Clark, Sabrina Ionescu and A’ja Wilson, while other WNBA stars including Breanna Stewart and Angel Reese have signature products with competing brands. Sheryl Swoopes became the first women’s basketball player with her own signature shoe in 1995.
For Nike, the commercial appeal is clear. Clark attracts basketball players who care about performance, young fans who identify with her career and sneaker buyers who may simply want the newest high-profile release. That gives the company multiple markets inside a single product.
There Is a Sales Lesson Hidden Inside the Sneaker Launch
The Caitlin 1 also illustrates something useful for smaller brands. Nike is not simply selling shoes to everyone. It understands the audiences surrounding Clark and builds products, marketing and distribution around those groups. Smaller companies may not have a globally recognized athlete attached to their brand, but they can apply the same principle by becoming more precise about who they want to reach.
Businesses can use Salesfully’s B2B and consumer sales data to identify audiences using business, demographic and geographic criteria, while Valkyrie, Salesfully’s AI Sales Copilot can help research prospects, organize contact information and prepare outreach. The scale is different, but the underlying discipline is the same: know who the product is for before spending money trying to reach everybody.
Nike has had more than two years to build anticipation around Caitlin Clark’s first signature shoe. Now the Caitlin 1 finally gives fans something tangible to buy, and with several additional colorways already scheduled, October 1 looks less like the end of the wait than the beginning of a much larger Clark retail business.
